13 DAYS - ROUND TRIP FOR NATURELOVERS AND HIKERS
This journey leads us through the western part of Iceland and includes, hiking, climbing, caving and canyoning. Ideal for sporty people with a feel for nature. Some of the highlights of this tour are:

Program "Nature , Summer and Adventure"
Day 1: Arrival
Welcome at Keflavík airport between 14.00-17.00 p.m. and transfer to Reykjavík and spend the night at a down-town guesthouse.
Day 2/Day 3: Húsafell - Snæfellsnes
Pick up at the guesthouse 14.00 p,m, Transfer to Húsafell – camping area situated in a woody lava area, close to the magic spring district Hraunfossar; approx. 3 hours drive. Natural hot water pool with whirl-pool close by. We spend the night there in very simple little summer cottage.We go for several short excursions in the area, e.g. we will visit Europe’s biggest lava-cave “Surtshellir”.
Day 4: Húsafell - Snæfellsnes
Journey to the mystic peninsula Snæfellsnes where we will take lodgings for two nights just below the glacier Snæfellsjökull (one of the energy-points of the earth).One of our walks there will lead us to an old smuggler-cave at the sea.
Day 5: Arnarstapi
Hiking along the lava coast at Arnarstapi, climbing the old fern-covered lava fields of the crater Búðahraun and climbing down a canyon.
Day 6: Arnarstapi - Breiðavík
On we go! Today we take the ferry across the bay of Breiðafjörður with its numerous small islands and cliffs. After the crossing we continue our journey by car and walking along a mountain track down to the natural harbour of Skor. Overnight in a guesthouse (2x).
Day 7: Látrabjarg
We walk along the enormously steep shore of Látrabjarg, breeding ground to millions of sea-birds – among them the colourful and charming puffin. Opportunity for a climbing-excursion down the coast.
Day 8: Dynandi
We drive up-hill and cross several mountains until we reach Arnarfjörður where we have a choice of visiting the impressive waterfall “Dynandi”. Dinner and night-lodging at a Guesthouse. Relaxation in a natural hot-pool at the beach.
Day 9: Barðarströnd - Brekkulækur
Excursion to a remote canyon where plant fossils can be found. Drive along the deserted coast of Barðaströnd . In the evening we reach our farm and guest-house Brekkulækur and we’ll treat you to a delicious Icelandic dinner.
Day 10: Brekkulækur - Hindisvík
Journey by bus and long walk along the sea: seal-colony and bird-cliffs! Later relaxation in a natural whirlpool and return to Brekkulækur.
Day 11: Highland
We drive up and across the highland path Kjölur. Stop-over at the famous geothermal area and nature reservoir Hveravellir which was a dwelling for outlaws in the old days. A walk to vilcanoe Strýtur overnight in a mountain hut. Next we reach Kerlingafjöll – one of the most striking mountains of the island with colourful rhyolith-peaks and small glaciers.
Day 12: Kerlingarfjöll
Today we reach Kerlingafjöll – one of the most striking mountains of the island with colourful rhyolith-peaks and small glaciers and explore it.Afterwards we drive more south and night-lodging in a mountain hut.
Day 13, day 14:Gullfoss – Geysir – Þingvellir-Reykjavík
Drive over the highland. On route we visit the waterfall Gullfoss, the hot Geysir spring and the historical parliament site at Þingvellir. We reach Reykjavík in the evening flight back home or spend the night at a down-town guesthouse. (Dinner not included, wide choice of restaurants nearby).
Transfer to the airport.
